I don't know how to approach this topic properly without being too overly traumadumpy so I'll try to make it quick and focus on Rory's lore.
Rory was turned by an original vampire that he doesn't know. He was a child when it happened and he doesn't remember much of what happened to him. Just those hands, and a voice that told him to go back to sleep. When he woke up there were marks on his neck. Doesn't know what to make of it then, doesn't know what to make of it now. I think that Rory isn't the type of guy that would ponder too hard about that event. It lingers in the back of his mind and he knows it affects his psyche, he knows it subconsciously affects his relationship with others but he doesn't know what to do about it. A witch hunt is stupid, doesn't remember anything, doesn't have a face to the crime, and what would he even do if he sees his maker? Too much trouble, and as painful as it is he really has no other choice but to try and move on, and cope with the after effects as best as he can. Besides he's not even quite sure if it really happened in the first place. Despite the bite that continues to bleed in his neck.
That all. I have to admit. I never intended for this story to be as heavy as it is now... I always just wanted like a cute little friendship between Rory and Fisher, where they're both sharing mutual worldviews and they both try their damnest to find a semblance of Humanity after it was forcefully taken from both of them. They meet new people, New vampires, and learn from other's perspectives and use that to gain more understanding of themselves. Awkwnsiwndinw now I'm just missing the person that inspired me to make this story in the first place (they inspired Fisher's character :3 someday I'll post more about them too) anyways that all. I'll try to finish the more cutesy little skits I've drawn of them and post them here if my wifi connection lets me :3Jan 22, 2025
