I get that Seasonal Depression Disorder is bad for people who have it, but as someone who doesn’t… at least I can think… structured thoughts… from fall to spring? Like my executive functioning just plummets during summer— not that it has a good starting point anyway — and my body’s attempts to regulate its temperature leave me feeling like I’ve ran a marathon every day, to the point where I can barely think. Plus, it’s so damn hot at night that I end up staying awake for unreasonable hours, regardless of if I have important commitments I need to wake up for. Oh fall, please come soon…Jul 7, 2023

For some reason it isn't often considered the same problem when the depression hits at a different time of year. I mean, it is SEASONAL affective disorder and not "winter affective disorder".

•same and I'm very depressed during summer since I need to be all day with my curtains closed, don't go outside otherwise I get strong headaches for the rest of the day and my whole body gets swollen. I'm thankful here it's winter now

I’m with yeah there, my days seem to blend together and the heat takes everything out of me.
