question for OC artists, but how do you celebrate your OCs birthdays? do you try to draw art for them or make birthday posts for them? do your OCs birthdays have any significant meaning? and do you take western zodiac signs into consideration when picking your OCs birthdays? i’m curious!Apr 25, 2021

I actually haven’t decided their birthdays yet!! But when I do give them birthdays, I will definitely be celebrating them! :D I don’t know if I’ll put too much thought into them in terms of zodiac signs, but we’ll see !!

I usually don’t because I’m mega forgetful, but I do lowkey celebrate when i created my first proper Oc, not their ‘birthday’ but their creation date because ive had them now for like 5+ years ;u;

•I honestly often forget to celebrate them though tbf I have a LOT of OCs and it's easy to let a birthday slip by. In fact I think there's two this week eep! Anyway I generally get a feel for who they are and then reverse engineer their birthday via western zodiacs. If they're aquarius or aries I sometimes hash them out for a bit longer and try again cuz I find those two signs come up a lot when a character is new lol Nothing wrong with them, just recognizing that personally I may not be developing them enough to truly know them and pinpoint their sign yet. I do have at least one that I gave my mother's birthday because initially she was nothing more than the mother of another OC and I just thought it'd be cute.

•Interesting enough, i don't really. In my worldbuilding, there aren't individual birthdays but there is a holiday called 'Gift of Life' where everyone celebrates birth. They would have festivals and share gifts to one another 
. And since the calendar is longer than our calendar, i can't really pinpoint when to celebrate

•I dont do this for all of them ((either they don't have a birthday yet or I don't feel like it)) but I usually do a piece for them saying happy birthday aha ^^;

•Only two of my OCs have a birthday and it’s on the same day as my own birthday (nov. 3rd) so to when I’m celebrating my own birthday I’m also celebrating their birthday, in 2020 I made a little mini comic to celebrate my OC Oliver Peddleton, this year I might do the same for the other OC Killerpatty 5th instead

•I draw art for them! I pretend theyre real just for that day and have my other ocs interact with them if possible. They deserve that happiness :,)

My OCs don't even have birthdays, I've never thought of it
I hate astrology and never know anything about zodiac signs and I don't want my OCs to be accessorial to it

•My OC's birthdays are actually the day I created them :O and whenever that rolls around, I draw them all proud and happy to be a year older :>

•This is a good question, I havent celebrated for any of my OCs yet and now I want to. I'll probably just make celebration art piece/post with party hats and what not. But I'd love to see what other ideas people come up with.

•I make a drawing of them, sometimes. Not all my ocs have a birthday date, so for the ones that have I pretty much do that and a post on Facebook wishing them happy birthday. I try to use the date I created them, but is not that common bc I have ocs that I didn't remember when I created them hahaha
