I was thinking about future outcomes for One and Liliya and I remembered a character I made based on One. The Dealmaker is based on One (BFDI:TPOT) and Liliya Bogomolova (The Outlast Trials). A thaumaturgist who discovered a very powerful form of thaumaturgy, was betrayed, imprisoned and driven insane by the civilization they come from (the tech/thaumaturgy space type civilization). They eventually escape to the ricyv (species) home planet, make deals and sneak into positions to get more thaumaturgy for a goal of fixing a big past mistake and getting revenge. I'm planning on having this character (who I'm calling the Dealmaker for now) be like a mix of One (BFDI:TPOT) and Liliya Bogomolova (the Outlast Trials). They're like an undead eldritch abomination that has been driven insane by isolation and maybe the influence of thaumaturgy. It'd be cool if this character made deals like One, had the mental influence of Liliya, and hijacked a large group/show on the home planet to gain power and exact vengeance (and fixing their past mistake) like a prediction mix of both One and Liliya. A cult leader/Dealmaker (but sort of a low-key cult leader that isn't around their followers much). More info, the host of the show the Dealmaker hijacks is among the people who imprisoned them. The Dealmaker has a sort of savior complex and believes that they are doing all this heinous stuff for a good cause. They spent a lot of their life in isolation and learned to read people through observation, they use this in manipulation as well (probably using a mix of both gathered info and projecting to manipulate their targets).
This takes place in the same universe as Martyres Artificialis but it's a different story happening in a way different place and probably a different time.May 27, 2026
