Fern
Literally where I got the concept of a body double dealing with their charge dying. Sylth has a fair amount in common with Adric in being friendly and kind of carefree wrt his responsibilities. Fern is a lot more tsuntsun than Cian though and also deals with trauma... a lot healthier (which isn't saying much) Honestly I'd be worried about being accused of plagiarism if I'd ever met a SINGLE other person who read magical x miracle
Fai
I was VIOLENTLY obsessed with trc in high school and especially Fai, so you can see his influence in a lot of my characters honestly. Annoyingly cheerful tragic boy is my bread and butter. The Fai and Yui relationship also tracks.
Watanuki
This one is more specifically for Cian as Adric but maaan I really loved how being overly self-sacrificing and how it can damage other people was handled with xxxHolic. Cian absolutely has a similar mentality of "I will take any sort of suffering as long as it protects my friends whether they want that or not" too.
Killua
Also more specifically Cian but Gon and Killua's friendship SO much! Partly the cute wholesome side of it and partly the more unhealthy/dependent aspect from the chimera ants arc cuz Cian is. definitely overly attached/reverent towards Adric.
anyway that's my ramble, there's a lot more characters that would count for this I'm sure but I think these are probably the most direct ones?May 6, 2023
