I keep a lot of story notes on my phone- late night rambles and character bits, quick stuff I write down going through the store. I go through and look over them every now and then.
And this last time, I found the 3 paragraphs of the prettiest prose for the most gut-wrenching random zombie apocolypse story concept. I don't even remember writing it. I don't even particularily like zombie stories. Where did this come from? Why did I write it with such emotion and care?

I write down jokes that I think of, and sometimes I'll go through and realize that some of them I accidentally stole because I'd heard them before and forgot
have to go back and time and smack myself, that'S A KURTIS CONNER JOKE YOU ROCK HEAD

•I do the same! This actually reminds me on a convo I wrote once between two of my characters. I usually write conversations between my characters that I want to draw.
Once I wrote this:
"-Don't forget who's chair you're sitting on.
-You're sitting on your own couch as well, and I'm not complaining."
And I have absolutely no idea what the context was or Why I even wrote this at like 2 am in bed.
