Does anyone have any tips on making a comic-esque series of drawings? I've never made a comic before, so any advice is welcome! I plan on telling the story without using words or speech bubbles, but I will be using frames to display multiple scenes/angles on one page.Apr 17, 2021

Oohhhh you can do SO MUCH.
In comic, compared to single illustrations, time passes. You can use a linear timeline, a scattered timeline, a time collage, time-zigzag (like flashbacks etc), time circles...
So easiest way to do a comic is to show something in the first panel, and show in the second something happening afterwards. If you don't plan on using a collage technique (unrelated events happening in different places in the single panels) you should have some connecting elements in your page, like a person, an object, even a background, so people can follow what you want to tell!
I could write more but I don't wanna spam here, but yo I love comic storytelling

•Thumbnails can be super helpful. You can map out what you want each panel to accomplish and won't have to backtrack as much in the final project.

•To get into crazy detail would take too long and probably crash the app for everyone but a few tips from a comic creator here:
- Don't be too hard on yourself when you realize how much work it is.
- Legibility of your characters is key.
- You don't have the advantage of movement like animation, so exaggerate the moment you're drawing.
- Frames can be opportunities instead of just boundaries (play with them, make them part of the action)
