It's a really nice app if you want to interact with other artists! It's not focused on likes and followers at all like many other apps. It encourages you to interact with the community, e.g. by posting and responding to text posts, participating in challenges, asking for and giving critique and resharing other people's art! You'll come further on this app if you support others before expecting support yourself. Like, some people only post art and then disappear and do nothing else on the app, which is fine, but then they get upset that they're not getting followers. Like bro you dont even follow anybody yourself :')
Also, some people here are complaining about the app being slow and people not getting banned fast enough. First of all, the app work just as fast as instagram for me, it's only slow if I don't have wifi or something but that's not the app's fault. Second, I recently reported a bug that was bothering me on discord (best place for bug reports and feedback!!) and it was immediately looked into and fixed within a few days. Also, every single report gets looked at by the devs (who are just TWO people!) and under those conditions I'd say they are really fast. I reported someone for using AI and stolen art yesterday and this morning I opened the app and their account got taken down. Some people seem to have the same expectations as for apps with huge teams and a lot of money, but that's just not possible for artfol, at least not yet. I will have been on here for three years soon and I love this app so much!

artfol is always broken
App is sometimes unusable for weeks. Weird ppl don't get banned very fast. Ppl care more abt text posts and comments than they do abt art.

Pretty good. I want it to catch on since, it really is the fill for the drawcast/framecast/devianrtart shaped hole in my day.

I have been here for a long time, almost 3 years, so I may be a little bias hehe. I absolutely ADORE this app and everyone on it. The devs are wonderful, it’s just a team of two, and they are really good about listening to feedback from the community. Most times, if problems arise, quick fixes are usually in the works really fast. Updates are far and few, but when they show up they are HUGE. The community on the app is fabulous!! Since there is no algorithm, you must interact with others to gain traction. I can guarantee that this will become super fun. I have chatted with so many unique users here, and I love hearing others ideas and comments!!
I can’t speak for the sake of bugs because as of current, the app has been ruining GREAT for me. Tho early development there were some really rough patches, and if it’s anything like then, it must be really frustrating for those who are experiencing them. Anyways, if you hold out through the buggy periods and such, it is greatly rewarded with the people you meet

•Hi, welcome! I enjoy Artfol, especially exchanges of opinions in the text posts and finding new great artists on the explore page, recent section. However I have to say that here on Artfol an AI-user took one of my drawings and modified it with AI without my consenz, and that's why now I am super keen on reporting profiles that post AI-images. But this was my only bad experience, which btw Artfol's rules try to prevent. So, overall I am having a good time here:)

I fall in love with Artfol. It gives me strengh and motivation to go watching everyone's efford, dedication and love for art. I just hope more people can enjoy it

It's pretty chill so far. I like the small Community. Only a few scammers or problematic people every now and then but they disappear as fast as they come

The folk are great and the community, even small, is pretty active!! As for the app.. it is obvious it’s early on it’s development. I also wish there were more art consumers on here then art creators - not that it’s bad how many lovely talent is here, it’s just that I don’t think there’s a strong outsider audience yet. Early on it’s development though, so that could be why! The UI is kind of clunky too I will say, and the formatting doesn’t even properly fit on my iOS device but ehh resolution issues can always be reformatted. Stick around, it’s a charming community with much to offer in the future!
