Iris is the daughter of the professor of her best friend's region. She's a hard-worker that's always monitored by her mother for her taekwondo, piano, pokémon battle, etc classes
So she knows a lot about pokémon battling and is passionate about it, but most of her classmates brush her efforts up as her being a "genius" and having the professor as her dad. Truth is, she barely sees him as they live in two different regions (she's in Galar, her dad in my fan made region Mata'i)
Most of what she knows, she either learned it because of her mom, or on her journey with her best friend, Léo (the boy at the back of the last panel)
Iris wants to use her future title as a champion to prove to everyone and to herself that she worked hard to get where she is now... Well, she still got some flaws and ends up underestimating the league challenge...Feb 28, 2026
