But jeah combining media is really nice. I use colored pencils to add details or go over lines after the paint layer. Uni assignments taught me that I don’t mesh well with just colored pencils ^-^"
Though using some kinds of pencils that turn purple-ish after going over them with water (kind of like a ballpoint pen) is really cool! Probably also something I’ll play around with since it sounds interesting in combination with your technique of first dry then wet media. Might get some nice shading effects -

That's honestly so true, it can be hell using one or the other.
