Should I get a BlueSky? I was thinking of making a Cara account instead, but I've seen people say they struggle to find a community on there. I've heard good things and bad things about BlueSky, but I'm still not sure. Please tell me your thoughts, my pals!Mar 25, 2025

There is an app by a developer seperate form the bsky team. It’s called flashes and it makes bsky look like Instagram format. I haven’t tried it because I’m cautious around indie devs. Try at your own risk since it’s still new but I’m relatively sure it’s safe. I believe they made a TikTok/reels version too but I forgot the name.
I use bluesky as my political outlet
I like it, but like sheep mentioned, it depends on the communities you find. I never use the discover page. Everyone I've found has been from other artists/people I follow, which I found from joining a ton of artshares. So it created a nice space for me.

I've heard of people having negative experiences that I never encountered because we just run in very different circles.
i admit im not active enough on there to truly give a detailed review on it, but I haven’t had any issues with it like with Twitter (excessive bots and horrible comment sections, etc.). it may depend on what communities you associate with; i just follow some art and photography people and haven’t seen much drama and stuff.

I’d say give it a try and see if it works for you. I would like to post more there, I just haven’t due to limiting my overall screen time
To be honest I never had it before but from what I heard it’s just Twitter all over again but Slightly better and no Elon. I’m my opinion try it out and see if you like the vibes of it and if not that’s fine too :}
