What are some weird things you believed about humans when you were younger?

I thought shows like The Electric Company (PBS kids) and The Fresh Beat Band (Nick jr.) were for teenagers just because some of the actors were in their teens.
At the same time, I thought ALL teenagers were evil people who broke into your house and stole anything and everything they could... Now here I am a teenager and I totally steal cars and do all kinds of illegal stuff! Then, after a long days work of being evil, I like to sit back and watch the Electric Company

I don't really remember to be honest, people were always surprised with me because I knew a lot of stuff and didn't believe in weird things. I liked to know the real thing, so I always asked or found out by my own by analyzing my surroundings. but, maybe, I thought everyone had a hyperfixation or believe they were animals like I was used to do? I'm not sure if that counts

I used to think that the romance thing not only was a joke, but it was a social pressure thing and that kids in school and people in general did it ONLY because the s.x propaganda got to them 
Turned out it was kinda true, except for the part that not all people are aro/ace (oh I wish they were...)

I also thought that kissing on the lips wasn’t a real thing and only something people do in movies.
To this day though, there are some more mature concepts I simply struggle to wrap my head around despite being a whole ass adult. Like I don’t understand why people kiss or take their clothes off for intercourse but a great deal of my adulthood seems to be nodding my head and saying “yeah.. people just do that”

•i thought people just spontaneously got pregnant sometime after marriage and their body detected the kiss at the wedding so thats how it knew it was ready to get pregnant.

•I thought that when women get older at a certain point they just become pregnant all on their own, and then I found out about s*x. And then it took me a year to figure out that if you -swallow- you don't become preggo. I also thought love wasn't real and people were just tolerating each other for monetary benefit.
