Just me ranting abt a character I’ve only posted once before
When I first made Lúcio I made a joke about him being Brazilian and I thought welp! I made a joke abt it so now it’s gonna stick bc that’s usually what happens with a lot of my characters. But then I thought well it would make sense and be kinda funny if he was an ancient mayan bc him being 3,000 years old makes sense with his story and Mayans being known for being great at math or whatever makes Lúcio being Mayan funny bc math is basically his whole thing.
But just today I was thinking abt another reason that’s funny to me which is that…there’s basically no reason for him to ever bring that up? Like, what’s your ethnicity? I’m Mexican. Where have you lived before? Oh I grew up in Mexico and then I moved to the states. etc.
Like there’s no reason for him to ever say oh yeah I’m a 3,000 year old Mayan btw bc he probably has a fake ID with a made up age and there’s no scenario where he could bring up being Mayan? Idk that’s just funny to me. I still like the Brazilian idea but I know more about ancient mayans than about ancient Brazilians and I only said Brazilian bc of one specific meme that doesn’t even rlly fit him anyway. I’m keeping the name Lúcio though which I think is a Brazilian name but it doesn’t matter that much.Aug 16, 2023
