I recommend Christ The Good Shepherd Church YouTube channel, where the Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel explains the Bible very well. He knows Aramaic as he is an Assyrian. But he preaches in English so all people can listen.

I’ve noticed that most take it literally- but even Adam and Eve was metaphorical- there was no fruit… the fruit represents knowledge… that’s what I interpreted it as anyways- so I would watch videos on sections and have your takes on it as well as others

The thing is that people take the bible too literally, i also recommended u Bibleproject they talk ab the different literary devices used in the bible. Also the Bible's historical points are way too extensive to have maintained a coherent ideology, thats why there's so many contradictions, and the cultural changes also contribute to the prophets' descriptions of visions, for example at the new testament theres an angel that heals the diseased, that wasn't a real thing, it was just part of the folklore. And TGC has rly good articles ( written by different with their own contributions of ideas of religion, u can also change the language)

•I’d suggest trying to learn to read the languages it was originally written in (Aramaic, Hebrew, and Ancient Greek) because a lot of the English translations are very approximate. Obviously this isn’t a requirement, but if I were to read a Bible I’d do it that way. As far as I know the King James Bible openly states there are mistranslations in it, so at least that one is honest about it.

•If you are gonna read the bible, I would recommend also watch videos on tiktok/youtube of Dan McClellan, he has degrees (4? I think) on biblical studies, and shares info about the academic consensus of the bible and stuff like that. It would be a good way to aid your reading I guess? He has a video talking about the "biblically accurate" angels too.

•What’s called a biblically accurate Angel according to uneducated people on the internet is actually just higher rank angels. The normal angels who look like humans with wings also exist but they’re lower rank
