American society lacks care for those in your own neighborhood, according to my father, who immigrated 20 years ago.
I sense a pattern where people seem to just want their quick fix or soothing and get mad at doing anything that will actually solve an issue. It's like only treating the symptoms of a curable disease while it just gets worse. Some people wonder why they're always in bad situations and there's a reason.
People simultaneously care too much about the approval people they can't even see (online) and too little about their words still having moral implications.
Suffering mentally is sad as long as you suffer for others. If you are laying in your bed for the fifth day straight, haven't taken a shower, and are currently doing nothing for the world, you are lazy and get less compassion.
