Xela (OC) (Villainsona Challenge)Finally joining the challenge from @whyweloseoursocks! :D I took like a week to design and write out her info and talk to a few of the other Villainsona gang ~ and almost when I was ready to post her... Release happened and my guide exploded my life 
but now here she is!!

Xela (Zhee-lah) (23)
Affiliation - Villains (currently solo)
Powers - Chameleon and mood manipulation
Info - Xela looks harmless... and in fact, physically her powers can't do anything to you. It's mind games she'll play. Whether she disguises herself as a teammate so you won't know who is about to attack you, or turns into one of the heroes, when Xela is in a fight, confusion is rampent. Chameleon isn't her only trick. How long do you think you can keep up the fight when all you can think about is how much you miss home? How tired you are... How depressing it is to constantly be fighting these ridiculous battles... You'd better watch out. If you're caught off guard, you may just find yourself giving up.
Xela and Alex have recently moved to the area, and while Alex has found her niche quickly, as she always does, Xela is on her own. Still, she carves out her own niche with her mood manipulation, selling it as a service to make a fair amount of money off the rich.
Bio - Xela became a villain because she needs the power to make her own choices. She grew up without choice, and therefore will do anything to keep it now.
She chose her own name when she turned eighteen, discarding the old one she barely used anyways. She chose the name Xela, her twin sister's name reversed. Alex is a hero, which by no surprise... causes them some friction. They're always trying to push the other to switch sides, but Xela is firmly rooted. Her choices will not be taken away.
Alex seems to be slipping, little by little, towards Xela's side... But will she switch and join her sister? Only time will tell.
Xela will always help her sister, even if goes against the villains plans. She won't betray the villains, but her choice to protect her sister will be the one she makes every time. Even if that means kidnapping her sister to get her out of the way while the villains plans go down. The 'kidnapping' usually means she gets Alex to go on a vacation with her.
Description of powers
Chameleon - the ability to change her body mass into something else. She can change her skin, hair and eyes to be whatever color she wants. She can change her clothes, but it takes more effort. Xela can also change others, but she doesn't have enough energy to totally transform another person, though she can perform the process over a week or so and be successful.
Limitations ~ she cannot become someone substantially larger or smaller than herself, example, a large man or a child. She can somewhat stretch the limits of her mass, but not by much. She is changing based on memory, so if she doesn't know what someone fully looks like, she can't properly copy them. Changing her entire body is draining, and she can only fully do it a couple of times in a few hours period without rest. Sometimes she does not have the energy to return to her normal look.
Interesting applications ~ Disguise, spying, subterfuge. Xela could turn all her coloring dark to better blend in at night. Confusing opponents in a fight.
Mood manipulation - the ability to alter people's moods. Make people happy, sad, angry, nostalgic, homesick, you name it, she can make you feel it. Can be used for good and for ill.
Limitations ~ if people know about her power and are actively focused on not being affected, it won't do that much to them. But if they get distracted in the fight, she can worm through and cause the effect. It takes more energy but if she's determined, she can make it work. She cannot use it on herself.
Interesting applications ~ Xela has a side business going, selling her ability to whoever wants it used on them. There are those who would pay without hesitation to just feel pure, unrestricted emotions again. Those that pay for happiness, joy, even nostalgia.
Xela will also use this power free of charge on any of her fellow villains if requested. Whether to help them get a good night's sleep by giving them a calm mind, or to help raise their mood regardless of what happened. If you were injured during a fight, she could help you ignore the pain and feel content as you wait to be healed, or get to the hospital.
~~~ I didn't know where to put this, BUT once Xela is officially with the other villains, she still won't use a 'villain' name. Her villain side is her true face, and her 'civilian' side will be the one wearing the 'disguise.' With her chameleon ability, she can go anywhere she wants, her 'anonymity' is not a problem for her. With what's important to her, she's going to be herself.
Plus a villain name might give away her powers and that would be a disadvantage

She just seems to be such a great character, I love her abilities and how well you thought about her "villain" and her "civilian" life, it's always nice to read a well planned description! (Also I hope you don't mind character interactions because I have villains who might need her help if that's okay with you-)
