Hey I wanna ask cuz I'm a little confused about something. Did the user scrape EVERY artwork from artfol? Or just a select amount? Can we look up our drawings or username in the website to see if we're on there?
@Stardustrash@mithiell@Pixus@Starjeweled Thank you for your concern, we are aware of this and are working with some other sites that have been impacted by this to see what can be done. In the meantime, we have sent a takedown request to huggingface, the platform hosting the data, and are awaiting further updates from them.
Very depressing.. I admit I don’t even really feel like I have a choice anymore because like, I’ve been on the internet for decades. There are very very likely things I put up in places I don’t even remember exist, it’s just inevitable at this point. I hope DMCA happens and that it helps but on a personal level I really don’t believe anything we might do will be taken seriously… we’re being robbed to begin with
This sucks. Guys use Glaze to protect your style, and more importantly Nightshade to poison AIs that scraped without permission! Both tools are developed by the University of Chicago and they are free. Scientists developed them and they check regulary if they have flaws etc. AI bros sometimes say that they don't work in an attempt to discourage their use, but you should not believe them. The scientists are very transparent if there is a problem, in the past they found one and fixed it. Currently the tools have not been disrupted by AI bros yet and their use is effective.
I would suggest contacting them either through email or their discord server. You can find both on their @artfol account. They are usually too busy with life and developing the new website on the side for them to read all the text posts
