painting redraw

here's the full illustration yay!!!
this is a redraw of an old painting with my ocs tifa and anya

it was pretty challenging since i usually draw very simple things with no background and i hope you like it!! if you can give me so feedback about the background and lighting i would really appreciate it

i immediatly thought about them when i saw the original painting 'cause anya knows how to work with metals and i like to think that she made the bracelets herself and can also make something for tifa in the future

idk i like to rip my heart out with stuff like this

This looks fantastic!! I think the one thing I would add is a dark shadow underneath the figures so that they’re “interacting” with the background rather than just laying on top. But they look excellent and your perspective is fantastic!

Nice drawing! Id try to put a complementary color for the all over greyish-green and maybe a few more highlights.

For the background I would add at least one other color to break up the concrete / stone structure. It’s a bit too much of one color if that makes sense...

this is dope, but I might recenter the lighting around or on the ocs. they don't stand out from the bkground too much and that might help idk

I love the mermaid's design so much, the tail is super cool

and the illustration looks so good, I love the light!

Aw this is so sweet, what a nice scene of affection and well done on the background!

The main thing I notice is that the stone colour and value of the background is very similar to the mermaid character so she blends into it a little bit. Could also be solvef if you give that character more light around her face so she stands out more.

But really lovely and impressive work, well done!
