I often hear that Photoshop is the industry standard when it comes to professional art, but many artprograms have almost the same features but without the ridiculous price!
With Clipstudiopaint getting more and more of the same features as PS, the pricedifference feels more and more ilogical. If you use Photoshop, do you think that PS is still worth the pricetag? Will other softwares eventually dethrone PS as the industry standard?Apr 19, 2021

I'll have CSP over PS anytime 8') it just feels way more inuitively "painterly" or something.

I wouldn't be suprised if another program can be the industry standard one day.
It's just the willingness to change. Question is just when? I think less and less people wants to use Photoshop now days if they can avoid after some questionable business standards.

I've used both and while Photoshop is a good program going from that to Clip Studio was amazing because Clip Studio is actually made for illustrations and comic creation vs I had to kind of come up with more creative ways to use the Photoshop tools for digital illustration. If you can find something cheaper or free, go for it, but once you can afford it I'd recommend investing in Clip Studio
