Fan Painting - Ink and white acrylic
Gingko leaves and a stanza from a poem from the 詩經 (Book of Poetry). My calligraphy skills aren't too good, so please forgive any written mistakes (◍´◡`◍)The stanza is from 狡童/Jiao Tong. It translates as:
彼狡童兮、不與我言兮。
維子之故、使我不能餐兮。
That artful boy!
He will not speak with me!
But for the sake of you, Sir,
Shall I make myself unable to eat?
It doesn't quite fit the gingko leaves but I messed up a character while writing the poem so I had to adapt.
