As a child, whenever I was in a plane at night, I would always look at the luminous cities in the dark. All you could see where the cars, and the streets' lights. To me, these were veins, living veins because of the cars moving. The center of the city would obviously be the most enlightened place: this was the heart where the veins were from.Here, the view is from a plane and the city took life as a human being. The city is where humans live, so if it had to take any forms of life, it would be a human. He is burning the earth with petrol while wearing a mask to prevent himself from inhaling the smoke and hurting his lungs.
This pretty much symbolizes how the humans are destroying earth steps by steps, totally aware of their doing. They protect themselves sometimes against the pollution, but the irony is, to protect themselves, they should put all priorities to taking care of the environment.
Hope you like this drawing. This was for a project in class which was never really finished because of last year's quarantine in march. The drawing is not entirely finished, being between a sketch and a final version. Maybe I should redraw it sometime?Apr 13, 2021
