Style Practice

Hello! For years I've been leaning towards digital painting in style (I'm not very fluent in art vocab, apologies) but I recently wanted to get into story telling.
In order to do this, I figured I'd need a more quick style which would likely rely on lineart.
But I need some help!
I'm doing my best to research how to improve my lineart, and practicing of course, but does anyone have any advice on this matter?

Here's my kind of test piece, I'm going to try a different brush next time (I use Krita) and I'm going to spend a bit more time on cleanup.
