Anywho, in the spirit of Artfol season 2 electric boogaloo: behold, an old-ish, unposted portrait of my OC, Vel!
I love her lots but almost never talk about her so a small intro here shouldnāt hurt!
First things first, sheās from far, FAR into the future.
XX21 (name of the world building project doohickey that sheās from) is like a, uh, wacky anachronistic urban al dente sci-fi earth in the post-recovery from a worldwide gradual near-apocalypse catastrophe that kinda happened but also not really inspired by MÅbius, Dynamo Dream, Stray, Ghost in the Shell, retro science fiction novellas, and modern science fiction (the adult man gaming kind) with hints of IHNMAIMS and other wetware monstrosities and they are all Australian and wow those sure are words all right.
Thereās no hard plot itās justā¦ guys living life. :]

A pragmatist by necessity but a idealist at heart. Vel is an enthusiastically friendly, albeit slightly intimidating, blue-collar AI inhabitant of the municipality's warehouse district. Sheās a bit rough around the edges (literally) and can be found taking long walks in winter, working at construction sites or tending to her periodical day job/hobby as a mechanic, vendor, and tinkerer. Like many robots, sheās got that workhorse drive but tends not to manage the money she earns. Like, at all.
Residency-wise, she lives in a relatively small, rundown warehouse unsuitable for human living thanks to all the fumes being dumped through the vents in that specific area. Here, her massive hoarding habit is on full display, organising her wares in seemingly random and odd ways that somehow only she can decipher.Oct 4, 2022
