Basically there's three types of people that live or/and travel in labyrinth so lemme tell about them



First type is and most common type is residents.
They are born in labyrinth and often live in towns.

(side note: people that got sucked in by a big anomaly are called residents as well since they believe that they were born in labyrinth).

Very small amount of residents actually knows how labyrinth works. Most of them know that there are different towns and that road to them is extremely dangerous but they have no clue about being able to enter other worlds. Usually it's only a couple of noble families that know about actual purpose of labyrinth. (towns often have kings/queens/any other type of royal ruler)

Also even tho in many towns there is at least one person who knows about labyrinth there still are towns that don't know about other towns. Those people believe that they are the only ones in whole world.

Even tho most residents decide to stay in town there is a pretty good percentage of people that want to travel between towns. Traveling between towns often leads to finding doors and perhaps even entering them.



Okay so guardians are actually kinda spicy!! No wonder that my girl Emi is one of them .
Every single guardian is actually...dead . Basically they died in their world and got reincarnated in labyrinth. No one knows how that happens besides the fact that labyrinth itself does it. Also no one knows how people that get reincarnated are chosen.

Whenever new guardian awakenes they already know basics about labyrinth (although usually it takes time to remember everything from "past life" and adjust information about labyrinth).
And they are met by instructor. Instructor is a guardian of high rank that doesn't have any students.

Most often after new guardians are met by an instructor they will later on build a very family like relationship and become instructors student.
Instructors job is to introduce guardians properly to new world that they live in. Mainly ranks and their job.

Guardians ranks are completely automatic and are updated constantly based on their power and job performance.

As for their job they have to manage labyrinth. Help residents that got in problems while traveling, help travelers to get back to their worlds and stuff like that. Although it is not mandatory.

Let's take Emi as an example. Even tho she doesn't refuse to help people her goal is never going and actually doing her job. She prefers traveling in towns and wild areas and collect rare items. Same goes for many others guardians. Some of them even prefer to turn into slavery business and instead of helping travelers sell them.

Important fact about guardians: they can not leave the labyrinth. If they attempt to leave via the door they will just bump into a wall.

Also their bodies are highly modified. They do not get older and barely have any scars.



Travelers are people that were sucked in from their world by a small anomaly or they found a door and entered labyrinth that way.
Small anomaly unlike large one (the one that sucks in towns) does not alter your memories. Neither do doors.
Although after you get in labyrinth you won't really know anything about what's happening and unless you used door you will be in high danger...oh well doors aren't safe either to be completely fair..after all no one actually wants people to know what's behind them..so depending on a town there might be a whole army after your ass..ofcourse only if you didn't die as soon as you opened the door.
