Does anybody else...gain a ton of new followers after posting an art challenge entry or even a popular illustration and then as soon as you post something new the people unfollowed you?
Probably a dumb question, but how do you feel about that or you dont care? I myself try to talk to my followers and fellow artists but I guess I am kind of awkward...

Ahah same happened to me recently. I don't mind, the good ones stick by.
The ones who unfollow me probably didn't like my art but just wanted attention and that's fine.

I've experienced that especially in twt and instagram! When I was new to the platforms and ppl just unfollow you after— I was offended af, but now I don't really care as much as before. Artfol is a really friendly platform because everytime I go to my profile to edit stuff, I don't instantly see my followers unless I click on the more info button. Not constantly knowing the number of followers I have/whoever unfollows me gives me peace of mind 
People follow whoever they wanna follow. Just focus on your art and the current people who appreciate it! ( ˙꒳ ˙ ) soon, more genuine people will find you and encourage youu!!

It is kind of discouraging but after thinking about how it is actually good that they unfollowed it isn’t as discouraging as it was. You still have encouraging people left!

•Oh yeah that’s definitely happened, don’t take it to a testament to your worth as an artist though — I say kind of hypocritically because I find it harder to value my own characters or creations when I post them and bam, unfollow... it kind of sucks but then again it’s understandable, it can feel quite different from what they thought they were in for if they subbed for that challenge post you made and they didn’t look at your other work? I suppose. Anyway, just checked out your art and it’s really adorable and pretty so YeH not sure how to end this reply lmao
