( KNY OC - First Meeting )

READ LEFT TO RIGHT

As the demon faded into the night, Kyojuro proudly sheathed his sword, back turned to the corps member he just saved. "That was a close call!" he said, a little too enthusiastically.

"Um..yeah, I-" Akane couldn't find the words she was so stunned. The demon had her at the throat. If this man hadn't come when he did, she'd be dead. "Th-Thank you," she stammered, lifting herself to sitting position on the ground.

The man half turned towards her. "Are you alright?" he asked, this time a more serious tone to his voice.

"I'm alright," Akane replied, a little softer than she intended. She's a Demon Slayer, why couldn't she sound more confident or stable?

"Thats good to hear!" He was still half turned away, surveying the area. "Hey, what's your name?"

Akane was brought back to reality for a second. "Oh...it's Homura Akane."

"Ah! A Homura!" the man exclaimed as he fully turned to face her.

That's when Akane noticed his hair for thr first time. She'd been so stunned by the event she didn't even take in the man's features. "He knows of my family?" she thought, "Wait a second..."

"It's been a long time since there was a Homura in the corps." He rested his hands on his hips as he looked at her. Eyes wide and burning with energy.

Akane quickly realized he was apart of the family her family rivaled for years. A Rengoku!

"I am Rengoku Kyojuro," he said, a kind smile on his face. "A pleasure to finally meet a Homura."

[I felt like writing something to go with this mini comic I drew it's super sketchy and basic but I hope you all enjoy it nonetheless! I just needed to draw some stuff out, okay?? sorry for the long post!]
