Edith Bracken, self portrait (unfinished), 200 P.D.

I really like the look of underpaintings in traditional art, and I’ve been thinking about oil painting a lot lately so that (and a fervent need to procrastinate) led to this

Bracken is/was an apprentice to a painter at a young age, though she gave it up due to Life (plot) Circumstances… so if she were to paint a picture of herself, she would be quite rusty. Being a prodigy only gets you so far,,
She also prefers landscapes, but her master did portraits of rich people so she was trained in those.

Also, P.D. stands for Post Disintegration, since the collapse of the old empire was an important event. It doesn’t really matter much in the plot, since this particular story isn’t one that deals with politics too closely
