Bayek is here walking down the steps of the Great Library of Alexandria with Phanos the Younger (who seems to be wholely fictional)As for the Great Library, despite all the history memes of the fire setting back humanity, this is all pretty overblown
The knowledge lost would not make an epochal difference, and the library wasn’t even totally destroyed by the 48 BCE fire caused by Caesar
The library survived up until around the 3rd or 4th Century CE, depending on sources
Still, it was a historical marvel, housing between 40,000 - 400,000 scrolls and being part of the larger Mouseion, and it’s so beautiful in the gameMay 16, 2021
