w/ VS w/o varnish

It's Yuyu again . Here you can see him before (left) and after (right) I varnished him with matt varnish. The non varnished version is more soft, light absorbing and has a nice matt optic. The varnished version is a bit more shiny and reflects the light more. I personally prefer the version w/o varnish, because I LOVE the matt and soft look. The varnished version holds more durabilty as well as water and mold resistence tho so I still wanna varnish all my figures step by step

The base is in both versions already varnished. I used uv resin, cause it's way more durable and resistant. But it's also a very shiny and glossy finish ️

The lighting is a bit different cause I shooted his varnished version several days later and without much preparation buuut I think the differences are still visible
