Antics
A little sketch of my ratties! Lily (grey/white up top), Maggie (chocolate snout rodent in the middle), and Matilda (chocolate with light specks... her fur changes colors still as she grows up).Lily is very food motivated, and if she hears the slightest clacking of treats against a jar, or the crinkle of a bag, or figures out that I'm cooking, she about loses her mind, because she knows she's going to get treats. She's fallen off things before trying to get to the treats, and regularly shoves her sister, Maggie, out of the way.
Maggie historically has been pretty reserved, but in her old age, she's been coming out more for attention. She's taken to climbing a lot more lately for some reason. I often find her perched on one of her lava ledges like a bird, and she likes to climb onto me when I open the door.
Matilda is VERY HYPER, hyper little rodent. She's about 3mo old, and has permanent zoomies at this point. Sadly, Lily doesn't like Matilda at all (and Maggie tolerates her, but isn't fond of getting beat up during play wrestling), so they all don't hang out in the same space together. Lily and Maggie, being older, don't have much patience for young rodent antics. Matilda gets extra attention and play time as a result. She's a fan of going into my arm sleeves and going ABSOLUTELY WILD, zooming and nyooming and bouncing all over the place. It's pretty entertaining, to say the least.
