Ray insists that the roses are for Gregory. but without a card, he has no definitive proof—Gregory doesn't believe it could be for himself. it isn't until Ray picks apart the each rose that he finds it sitting at the bottom of bouquet: "To Gregory". at first, there is frustration. towards himself, towards the situation. a simple plan had become unnecessarily difficult. then there was apprehension. Ray would have to be the one to show the truth... to take the feelings he attempted to hide behind the petals and leaves of the rose, and bring them out into the open...
