Been feeling kinda guilty that one of my stories has way more male characters than female and non-binary
I feel like I should have balance and have them be about equal amount, but for some reason I find it more fun to draw, design and create male characters more than any other

There's no rule that says you have to represent everyone equally in every project. Write what you want to write and what works best for your story. Don't force anything, don't feel guilty.

Making a woman oc out of obligation is worse to me than not making one at all. Write what you wanna write or you'll destroy your writing

I think you can get away with this as long as you have well write characters. For example with lord of the rings, most of the characters are male but the ones that are female are thought out characters and aren’t just there for looks.
