What do you listen to/watch when you're drawing? I usually listen to music and sometimes a podcast, but never when I'm sketching. I can't sketch and pay attention to words at the same time 😭Apr 18, 2021

I put on a video called ‘songs that make me feel like the protagonist in a coming of age teen movie’ its like over an hour of tunes. Otherwise I put on that sweet lofi and chill. Or creepypasta.
I put on random music or I listen to Markiplier's playlists of like him playing scary games or games with his friends xD so entertaining & it makes me smile while I work
I honestly can't pay attention without things in the background, so sometimes I just have audio (music/podcasts) and other times I need visuals too (movies, anime, documentaries) and everynow and then, I'll have both playing at the same time
I listen to a lot of nightcore lol. Or I’ll watch drawingwiffwaffles, she’s rlly inspiring
Nowadays i listen to music, before i used to listen to dnd podcasts but like id get too invested in them and end up not drawing at all and just listenening to the podcast
Music, podcast, or longer yt videos so i dont have to worry about finding something new haha
I usually listen to music or podcasts as well, but sometimes after a while, if I need to concentrate a lot I start feeling overwhelmed and I prefer to work in complete silence.
I’ve found that having a video game livestream in the background is my favorite way to draw. Drawing and listening to my favorite content creators combined is such an enjoyable experience.
I have this weird thing where I actually pay more attention if there’s background noise. I would often get scolded in school for doodling while the teacher explained something, I found that those classes I had the lowest grade on 😂 But anyway! I really like listening to podcasts (ologies is my fave), coffee shop/rain/ocean sounds, twitch streams and music that fits the mood of what I’m working on. ☺️
I have playlists for each section of the series I’m writing with my friends, so I play whichever one fits the best for the drawing :)
Years ago I've read somewhere that video-game music is specifically made to help players concentrate, and I did notice that when listening to said music (mostly ost from puzzle games) I get distracted a lot less.
Since I’m drawing mostly Joker based on Nolan’s movie.....Hans Zimmer it is, but it also depends on the mood I’m in xD
I like listening to musical soundtracks or tv shows Ive already seen before so I can tune in and out as Im drawing depending how focused I need to be, and not worry about missing anything or not paying attention to what Im listening too
I listen to music for sketching because I can’t multitask at all. Then I’ll switch to a podcast for more mindless parts like coloring or line art!
Yes! I watch YouTube videos while drawing for background noise.
I usually listen to a stream vods that I've already watched before or music. I've been trying to stay away from music with lyrics while drawing lately though so mostly video game soundtracks
I really like listening to speedruns/game commentary, or mixes by my fave DJs
Just a long music playlist, with songs I'm familiar with so I don't stop what I'm doing and check what the song is.
What ever music comes on my YouTube mix, witch is usually filled with songs like I’m glad your evil too by PinocchioP and All eyez on me by 4jay X Luci4!
Music mostly, a little of everything or I'll put on a show that is good for background and looking up at like That 70s Show etc.
