I need the pokemon nerds!
I want to rewatch Pokemon (mostly cus I never finished it) but am unsure of the oldest order to watch them in. I only want to watch the canon series' and movies first, but dear goodness, there's so many! I'm so confused on what's the best order to watch the canon stuff, then enjoy the non-canon stuff later.
For reference I know some of the movies are just reimaginings or alternate versions of the main story and I'm unsure if those are canon but an alternate universe or if they're noncanon just for fun. But those are what I want to watch after watching the main story

Indigo League > Orange Islands > Johto Journeys > Johto League Champions > Master Quest > Advanced (AG) > Diamond & Pearl (DP) > Black & White (BW) > XY > Sun & Moon (SM) > Journeys > Horizons. But Pokemon horizons is my personal favorite if you want to watch that earlier

I'm not a pokemon nerd but I would suggest starting with first anime series (from 1997, if I remember correctly it's Indigo League) because it's the one where Ash and Pikachu meet + it's the begging of the journey. But I might be wrong ¯\(ツ)/¯
