I sound like a boomer, but I've never used Twitter and I could never understand how it works.

It's a dumpsterfire.
I only have the app because one person posts stuff that I like a lot, and otherwise I would have deleted it.
5 years on twitter, I don't follow anyone anymore and even the news page I've set to japanese so I don't know what the app is trying to push but can feel good about recognizing some kanji.
I post my art there because why not, it doesn't take too long, but with 60 followers it's not
amazing
for my art, I got double that on artfol in a few months, so that means more & meaningful interactions in a safe relaxed environment. Artfol wins. Instagram I wish felt more personal, but it's okay. I just wish there was a sense of community there like there is on Artfol.

•It's incredible inconvenient to use for me, algorithm does its best to make sure of it. If I wanna post something, I'll go to Artfol. And if I wanna see memes and fanart, I'll go to Tumblr.
Maybe I'll give it another chance someday. Not today though.

For me it's been really hard to get seen AND hard to find other artists to follow, and besides the less censorship aspect, I feel like it doesn't suit art at all. It's better for memes.

I personally don’t have it because I don’t want to risk my stuff getting stolen by NFTbros, & I know avoiding the stuff that goes down on there is definitely good for anyone’s mental health. I do check in a handful of artists on there through the desktop version of Twitter though. It’s as close as I’m currently getting to it.
