This might be irresponsible but I pretty much just let the person decide. Usually if they’re paying me to do art, they know they need to pay a reasonable amount. So sometimes I’ve gotten up to 150. Minimum is 60.

•First figure out how long it takes you to draw a particular piece you want people to commission you for. Then from there, try to see if your want a project based pay or hourly rate. Example: Say you want project based and ask for $25 on one simple head drawing or icon. Or you want $20 hourly rate for a head drawing and it takes you 2 hours from start to finish. It depends on your schedule and what you can handle.
