Autumn Feligon
A new species of fantasy creature from my "Mythical Beasties" series of original artworks inspired by spirit animals, mythical creatures and other lore.This piece was created in 2020 with oil-based colored pencils on toned tan 5x7 paper.
About the design:
The Autumn Feligon are a magical beastie found living deep in the amazon jungles of AvaLon. They have flora like fur throughout their body that helps them blend into their habitat. There are two types of Feligons "Autumn and Winter". While the autumn feligons live in warmer climates just like the name suggests the winter feligons live in harsher cold climates. The Feligon are classified as a winged were-cat species. Their dna is a mix of big cats and a dragon or large bird often these traits come in the form of horns and wings similar to a dragon. Their markings vary, some are a mixture of crystals and flora (plant). The females are smaller than the males who are larger than a dire wolf (three times the size of a wolf). Their natural enemies are the crimson wolves, a werewolf tribe found in the southern continent of AvaLon.
