Wide AwakeI felt inspired after watching the documentary about The Wide Awakes. A youth organization turned paramilitary during the civil war. They had a significant influence in getting Lincoln elected.
Looking at all the organizations throughout American history really showcased that Modern US lacks community and structure. The literal backbone of the people and now we're watching bricks disintegrate before us by an unelected billionaire and his lapdogs.
Though hard times are inevitable and we as Americans will reap the consequences; I am hopeful that people will wake the fuck up... even if it takes stripping Medicaid to get there.Feb 27, 2025
