The chaos of retaking 2 year old art 
Progress so far is going pretty good, but we'll see what else my brain nitpicks about this so far. :')I was erasing and the undo didn't go all the way for the screenshot upon realizing "hey, I rarely if never uploaded progress regarding art improvement with the current pieces, so why not?"
It's mostly, as aforementioned, a lot of proportion tweaks and fluff tweaks. The version on the right was made on a stylus phone during 2020 and the one on the left was done now on an actual drawing tablet.
For the most part, my style never really changed as much as my methods of drawing did between digital mediums. My traditional work from 2020 more closely resembles everything I do now in digital medium (referencing the last two sketch drawings of Hazar, which are 2020 drawings), so it's safe to say that having a smaller screen with less accuracy at the tip certainly altered my final piece. There's less room for details, my hands would hurt immensely if I DID try detailing things, and if not that, zooming in and out to get more accurately connected lines often fucked the scale of things.
Proportions ended up accidentally larger and more stylized than my traditional pieces, and it always bothered me to know this was the case each time. I wasn't very happy working digitally for a long time, but for what it was worth? I couldn't complain. I needed to get used to it for my college as well, given how I lacked any official art programs due to how expensive these were (plus my college didn't cover Adobe costs).
It's also what made me often eat through up to ten sketchbooks under 3 months if I hadn't scaled my drawing into something smaller on single-page surfaces, but I digress.
Thankfully, a friend made it so now my only cluttering problem is layer groups HAHAHA
But alas, here's Hazar so far.
The plan is adding missing details to his attire, obviously need to fix the line work to THAT part, and I'll give him a color tweak now that I've got the tools to properly portray his genotype. I also gotta fix his color distribution since color genetics on Mandabenan had changed considerably since 2020. Hopefully, I won't die. :DApr 5, 2022
