The Black ShuckAh, the black shuck, which also goes by the name, the black dog, shuck, corpse dog, etc. A more southern English folk beast, and is still spoken about within the countryside today!
It is said the black shuck is as big as a horse, with two glowing red eyes - some say just the one - and normally found during foggy days and winter nights. Its howls are blood-curdling, and the scratches it leaves on your doors will make you freeze.

In truth, some believe the black shuck derives from the idea of keeping children safe during the harsh English whether, as even to this day, when the winter winds rise, a horrific shriek can be heard, and that quite possibly, the scratches left on the doors are from the sticks, rocks and branches picked up from said winds.
However, there are those who claim to have seen the shuck, hiding within the Eastern countryside.

Ah! I really liked drawing this devil dog!

For this particular drawing, I thought of making the shuck a bit more monstrous, with a bull terrier type head, to hint at english dog breeds ^^

Its no surprise that there's a folktale like this. I live in the countryside and during the winter the wind shrieks 💀 I love the way you drew this beast, its very haunting!!
Thank you for the lore behind this beast! I like the way you portraited the head in a perspective that would allow to imagine one or two eyes🩵
