No, as long as it’s a color or texture sort of filter & not those stupid AI ones that essentially just draw the thing for you.

Think of it this way: then digital drawing is cheating too, since you don't need to manually mix colors. And using references is cheating. And while we're at it, draw with your eyes closed.
Imo you can only cheat in art by using someone else's work, like stealing or stealing with ai :v

Nope, filters are basically adjusting how the colours in your photos look like. the drawing is still made by you, so no it's not cheating

Only if you drew it on paper, then took a screenshot of it and added a filter to the picture...but then again, you may just not have sufficient lighting in the room you took a picture of it in, and so adjustments are necessary to get the full scope of the drawing as it is on paper...so nevermind. No, it's not cheating. In what scenario do you think it would be wrong to use the tools available to you?
