I was just wondering what are some of the ways you guys help cope with high level of nervousness/anxiety?? I've been struggling for the last couple of months because the things I've been doing aren't working for me anymore. Any advice would be helpful, thanksOct 8, 2023

Meditate, go do some exercise (walk outside, dancing, sports, etc), set a 15 min worry time in a place not frequented per day and only worry within that slot, make sure you have good sleeps because that will make it worse, and dont drink carbonated things
I have anxiety and I take medication for it but with my form of dysautonomia called pots, I've had to decrease my does of it. I typically think about something I love and start stating facts about it. I also watch or read something to take my mind off of whatever is bothering me.
CBD oil also helps a lot. You just have to be careful with that. Hope this is the type of answer you are looking for.
You can listen to the sounds of ocean waves, waterfalls, or rain of sorts just to have some quiet white noise in the background. Or any soothing music that you prefer.

Considered getting a weighted blanket/stuffed animal. Their warm pressure might help you feel comfort and more "grounded". They could also help you sleep better since sleeping poorly can add on to your stress.
I got meds. crying and sleeping helps.
ASMR, therapy, music, at least 8h sleep, meeting friends, break from social media and newspapers, avoiding any entertainement piece with topics percieved as unsettling, not thinking about the future, giving up control on uncontrollable things, be patient and kind to self, autogen training, cuddles and physical affection, learning to take breaks and free time for hobbies, making art and enjoying others' good art.
sorry if this turns into an essay but i think i have some advice :) i used to struggle with a debilitating anxiety disorder to the point where i was illegally truant from school as a kid, if that gives you any indicator of how hard it was for me, i know what you're going through. i spent YEARS solely focusing on it and two years ago, when i got diagnostic confirmation for another of my disorders, i was undiagnosed with my anxiety disorder because i worked so hard that i no longer met the diagnostic criteria, its one of my proudest achievements.
the thing with anxiety disorders is that the only way to get over them is to do the exact opposite of what your brain is telling you to.
What have you been doing?
Come up with a charismatic and talkative personality and then PLAY AS THEM
When I feel like that, I like to sit in my roof and feel the breeze, it grounds me and reminds me that works or activities, goals or archivements aren't everything in life, and that right now your are living, so maybe try to search a feeling or place that grounds you from that
You might be stuck in survival mode (sympathetic nervous system) 🤔 When I get stuck like that, I know my vagus nerve is underperforming, so I give it a hand:
+I do gargles.
+Wrap my head gently with a headpiece or beanie.
+Look out of the corners of my eyes and wait till my breathing changes (a deepening, a sigh, a yawn, then I repeat looking in the other direction).
It also can be done bowing the head lightly towards the shoulder and looking out the opposite corner of the eye (this one's kinda funny because it makes me feel like a painting of a dreamy figure looking up for a wish to the stars ✨️) and leaning the torso lightly to the sides is another way to do it.
+There's also two acupressure points right on top of our kidneys, to press or massage gently.

All that stimulates the vagus nerve, which is called vagus because it wanders all over the body, connects everything, so it's on our head (headwraps, eye exercises), runs down the neck (gargles) and connects with the systems in the body. Really, you could press anywhere and you'd probably be pressing on some part of the vagus, but these are the ones I use the most.

More:
+Daily walks in nature (specially at dusk and dawn).
+4-2-6-2 breathing.
+Two breathes in, one out (highly relaxing, we do this sometimes in our sleep).
+Yoga with a teacher that actually works the breathing and mental part. I often follow Ajan Yogi in yt.
+Learn about inflammation.
+Ohm chanting.
+Daily exercise.
+Mental idleness with physical activity, let yourself process and observe with compassion.
