After Percy Jackson has its upcoming series underway and Eragon's still in development but not greenlit as of yet, Disney+ is now taking a stab at The Spiderwick Chronicles. First announced in August and with new additions to the cast announced today.
The series previously got a film in 2008, although produced by Nickelodeon/Paramount instead of Disney. It was criticized for both speeding through five books and skipping much of the fourth. Will this series manage to include the fourth book this time? Stay tuned...Nov 9, 2022

Hope they’ll do it justice, that goes for both Percy Jackson and Eragon too. Watched the Spiderwick movie before reading the books but honestly the movie is so nostalgic to me. But there sure are a lot that was left out from the books and some changes too. Hopefully it’ll do better if they make a series instead of a single movie

All I have to say about this is: Dear Disney, PLEASE, don’t mess up Eragon and Percy Jackson.

I watched the movie before I read the books, so I liked the movie. After reading the books though, that is my shiiiit, its probably still one of my favorite series to this day. If they can include most of the details and be fairly book-accurate, i will be incredibly impressed.
