painting practise • idroidaaaa rendering is so hard! i used cosmicspectrum’s technique on keeping the lineart and shading with multiply to colour this piece. i usually rely heavily on detailed lines and flat colours for my drawings, so painting is really hard for me! but sometimes i’m just wanna blendddd
i marked this post as a request for critique, so please feel free! i’d love any advice or tips on rendering in general. all i really used for this was the design pencil and gouache blender in clip studio paint.

rim light looks fantastic here! my only suggestion would be to tone your shadows more purple. they look well blended, but sometimes adding a lil saturation can prevent them from appearing muddy from a distance, and a warm purple would match your second light source as well as compliment the characters skin tone. Lovely work so far!!

•Hey! The colors and rendering are amazing! I think my main critique would be that the placement of the nose combined with the perspective of the left eye makes the face look kind of squished, both halves of the face look stunning, but together they kind of look like they’re from different perspectives of that makes sense? Again, absolutely amazing shading and coloring on this
