Steampunk spring
For a western AU that I'm doing with friends. He runs on coal now, which means he's very hot. Luckily, Rhea(his creator) in this AU found some metal that does not melt, ever. So he is made up of that metal. Inside his body, he has a furnace towards the font and then pipes running towards the back to let the smoke out. His springy arms (and neck) have compartments within his body that contain the spring locks, so it is away from the fire in the furnace.
