@glornamtic's post on Artfol

this is a bit personal but

for other artists on here with adhd...

am I the only one who's been feeling an unexplainable amount of shame towards having adhd?

especially when people get upset with me for things I kinda have no control over ( mainly abt me forgetting things and making tiny mistakes but correcting them ofc ) I hope this makes sense

Tbh at the moment I'm probably suffering from impostor syndrome so that's been fun. I am self diagnosed tho adhd is genetic if I remember correctly and I have relatives with adhd but there is a hint of shame yes but that's mainly when I'm with other clearly neurotypical people
Yeah, I kinda feel a bit of shame, specially me constantly forgetting stuff, or being to random sometimes, and overthinking a lot of possibilities but I overlook one tiny detail 👁️👁️

Wheeze 😂

That's a lot, but hey, we got our strenghts too, don't worry to much, hope you be well ✨
I have ADD. I haven't felt shame about it, but I understand where you're coming from. You may not be the only one but I cannot speak for others. I hope this feeling is resolved though, and you feel better
