hello guys. It is me. as you know I am a pretty big fan of insects and I have a little PSA to make 
to any fellow artfol users in the United States, it's getting to be colder outside (for the most part)
do you know what this means?
insects are coming inside.
and one insect specifically more than the others in the colder seasons: stinkbugs.
stinkbugs are an invasive species. they are harmful and not supposed to be here.
we have a fireplace in our house, we just had a fire. in 10-15 minutes, I have had to k¡ll 21 stinkbugs. and I couldn't even get every one that I found.
if you find any stinkbugs in your home, please k¡ll them. I do not recommend just smashing them because this will bring more and is just not quite the best method. if possible, get a cup of water and dish soap mixed together and put any stinkbugs in it. i think just water could work as well. insects breathe through their "skin" / holes in their exoskeletons. drowning them in dish soap + water will quickly k¡ll them and squishing them or hitting them could take a few tries.
stinkbugs don't really have any natural predators and most other animals won't eat them because they smell bad and will leave them alone. if possible, please get rid of any stinkbugs you find.
this goes for any invasive insect species, or any invasive species at all (ex: lantern flies) but we have an extreme stinkbug problem in my area. and of course with how many I just found, it reminded me of how many there really are

not to mention, we had a similar infestation of them at our old house as well. We were getting ready to move out and my mom was gonna clean windows. she pulled back the curtains and there was a literal swarm of them. she had to get multiple HANDFULS of stinkbugs and flush them all down the toilet and had to make multiple trips to go back and get more. there are Too many of them
