TYL - "I don't know what your dad was like way back when but, having met it now, I don't doubt it had good intentions."TYL - "But even if in its heart it believed leaving was the best choice for Ninny's sake..."
MIR - "Dad decided without taking Ninny's feelings into account."
TYL - "Yeah."
TYL - "Chaos was the closest thing to a decent father figure Ninny had, and it knew that better than anyone. It was the most stable part of his life. When Chaos left, well..."
TYL - "Ninny lost his support system. And he wasn't really in a good place beforehand ."
MIR - "What about you?"
TYL - "By the time I met Ninny, your dad'd already been gone for a while."
TYL - "He was a resilient kid, smiling and laughing through everything. Neither of us talked much about the past, both had secrets we weren't willing to share. He was pretty good at hiding when things were going wrong, but..."
TYL - "Looking back on it, there were a lot of cracks no one noticed, not even me. Sometimes he'd get this... empty look in his eyes."
TYL - "Of all the people that turned their back on him, Chaos was the one Ninny could never accept. And he never stopped trying to summon it back either."
TYL - "Your dad left because it was afraid of corrupting Ninny, but in hindsight... I think it was already too late. Eventually, his attempts to contact Chaos again, combined with the unstable "gift" Chaos had left him, caused something to awaken inside him."
TYL - "The people back then thought it was some personality disorder, but I felt it. A presence always looming behind my back. I don't entirely blame your dad for that, and neither does Ninny."Oct 1, 2022
