As a cishet, I can confirm. Sometimes I accidentally catch myself looking at other girls' butts and boobs, despite not being attracted to women at all 
I don't do it intentionally in a wierd way, just kind of subconsciously because I like to diversify my characters' body types and observation is a good way to get used to it ^^

•Think of it this way: if you're homosexual, you like people of the same gender. So obviously, you wouldn't be sexually attracted to people of the opposite gender. (For sake of simplicity, I'm not including bisexuals or other sexualities.)
The case is the same for heterosexuals- just backwards. They only like the opposite gender.
It's like two sides of a coin between homosexuality and heterosexuality, different yet the same.
Of course not sleeping for 24 hours can muddle things a bit (as my record is 19 hours, I understand).
The main thing is to respect people's sexualities because at the end of the day, it's their choice on who they want a relationship with.
