Meet Acorn! Me and my friend have been talking about sorta expanding on Poppy and their character Buttons lore and such. With that comes new characters! Acorn is Poppy’s mentor essentially? Poppy is sorta like her apprentice.Acorn is mild mannered and super passionate about her work. She’s like the groves librarian and scholar. Poppy really looks up to her! Acorn practically lives at the library. She has her own little home but it’s nearly abandoned, full of cobwebs and the like pfft.
We decided upon making it so that wingless fae are more powerful magically speaking. Fae with powerful flying wings are less talented with magic or can’t use it at all, these are usually wings derivative of bug wings. Fae with weaker wings are pretty middle ground, these wings generally being inspired by things such as leaves and petals esc. We’re also making them tiny. I think Poppies height used to be listed as like 4ft tall? She’ll probably more accurately be 4 inches tall now pfft.
Acorns wings are based on sycamore tree seeds, the ones that spin when they fall. She’s decent with magic but not the greatest flyer. She more or less only uses them to reach things on the high shelves.Apr 12, 2025
